Time for creativity and connection

As we continue to adjust our class schedules with the Bay Area shelter-in-place order, I hope my message finds you, your families and loved ones safe and healthy.

Many kids are at home this week and parents have reached out to me asking how to manage their kids’ learning during these uncertain times.  My response to most parents is to keep a steady routine as much as possible. An hour of math and a couple of hours of reading can go a long way. In addition to that, there are a ton of online learning resources that can be of immense value. I’ve put together this list of online resources to help parents who are looking for alternative education options for their kids.

While these times are challenging, they also offer us parents, an opportunity to engage more deeply in our childrens’ education, and as I’m discovering in my case, an opportunity to re-learn some things I’ve forgotten over the years.
